All Manila 1828's are considered Extremely rare but this one is special. Its the only surviving specimen and a new die variety which was found in Mindanao Province in the Philippines in 2006. Its the only one of its kind and there is no other Manila 1828 that exists in the entire world thats the same as this one. The differences between a standard Manila 1828 are as follows: 1) Its been double struck. Notice the faint MANILA underneath the original MANILA 1828. 2) It has a serrated border all the way round. No other Manila 1828 exhibits this phenomen. The only other coin that comes close is the MANILA 1830 which has a similar serrated border. 3)Notice that the lettering is different to all other Manila 1828's. Please see attached JPG explaining this with 2 regular Manila 1828's for comparison. You can compare with any example found on the internet or in your collection and notice the same thing and the differences.  This is a new die variety which has only just been discovered and the only specimen in the entire world! This coin is actually priceless! The coin has been certified as authentic by PCGS and has been graded EF-40. The coin is still in its PCGS holder. The coin pictured outside of the holder is an old picture. The coin has also been examined by a major US coin dealer in the states with 40 years experience and confirms this coin is authentic and I can give you more information upon request.
