Description
PLEASE READ ENTIRE LISTING AND PAYMENT STRUCTURE FIRST... Pay no attention to the $5,000 postage fee, this was the only way I can list this International, this is a pick-up only... Should you have any questions after I end the auction, my eMail address is; vernonpeterson@gmail.com When first listed, the original starting bid for this lot was $85,000, I then reduced it to $70,000 I have since packed this collection in two boxes for long term storage... After giving it some thought, I decided to list this one last time on a eBay INTERNATIONAL listing... PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS COLLECTION MUST BE PICKED UP IN PERSON AT MY HOME (located in New York, USA), IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS LOT, EMAIL ME FIRST ~ I CAN GIVE YOU SOME ADVISE ON HOW YOU CAN SAVE $15,000 AND PURCHASE THIS RARE COLLECTION FOR ONLY $55,000 ~ IF YOU PLACE A BID AT $70,000 FIRST, I CANNOT REDUCE THE PRICE... I have had International interest in the unique Dual Date (2000/2001) Multi-Struck 2 Euro Cent and 1988A USA $1.00 OVERPRINT on REVERSE WEBPRESS Note errors, but prefer to sell this collection outright... This collection consists of over ELEVEN HUNDRED pieces, with some Extremely Rare and UNIQUE {being the only one of it's kind} CERTIFIED Errors... It would not be a understatement to say that some of these errors are of Museum Quality, with the Certified unique pieces coming to market once every Generation or Two in the near future... Had my Daughter & Granddaughters been blessed with good health, this collection would never have been for sale in my lifetime... I believe the opening bid is only a fraction of this collections real value... If this lot does sell on eBay, the purchaser MUST PICK UP THIS COLLECTION AT MY RESIDENCE & PAY WITH CASH ONLY IN USA DOLLARS, No checks, Money Orders, PayPal, Electronic Wire Transfers or any other form of payment will be accepted, NO EXCEPTIONS... Since this is a considerable sum of money for a internet transaction, and there are a few jokers that like to play games, ANYONE interested in bidding on this lot MUST email me through eBay prior to placing a bid (the bid is a buy-it-now price, under my control), any bids placed without my approval will be retracted and the bidder blocked (I am doing this for my protection)... Also, If a deal can be worked out, I will end the auction upon *completion* of transaction at my residence (*buyer inspects everything prior to payment*), eBay collects their fees & positive feedback can be posted without delay... There is no need to hold off until the last day of the listing as I always end the listing early... PHOTOS = The Coins are nicer then the photos... Please use the "Ask seller a question" option if requesting photos emailed to you... I set up a eMail address (rareerrorcoins@gmail.com) for anyone serious in purchasing this lot, who would like high resolution photos eMailed from this email address, so they can be viewed for close inspection, there are 22 eMails in all... PLEASE allow 48 hours for eMail Photo Requests... Since there are over 200 photos, it may take awhile for this listing to download... I reserve the right to end this listing without warning... Set of Certified Gem-66 Block G-P, Run #8 (July 1993), Plate Combo 5-8 Web Press Notes (one of the key notes in the Web Press Series), This PMG Error Note is one of the great rarities of the 20th Century (1 of about 6 Notes to surface). The high grade "Overprint on Reverse" Web Press Note & The Bank of England Error Note below are so rare, that it's almost impossible to place a dollar value on them. Bank of England ERROR NOTES are so rare, they are seldom listed on eBay. After recieving the 2nd set of serial numbers, this next note was marked and removed by the Inspector, someone placed it back in the production line and the 3rd Set of Serial Numbers are ***PRINTED OVER THE INSPECTORS REJECTION MARKS*** THIS IS THE ONLY KNOWN ERROR NOTE FROM THIS SHEET TO SURFACE All Three Serial Numbers are Listed on the Holders' Reverse Side For the Serious Error Collector/Investor expanding into the WORLD market, This PMG Certified Error Note would rank at the top of the list. UNIQUE Bank of England 20 pound error Note with THREE SETS OF SERIAL NUMBERS After this note had FAILED Inspection, "MARKED" and removed after the second set of Serial Numbers were applied (the wrinkles from rapid removal is not only proof that this note was removed, it is also what drops this note down to a AU50 Grade), it had found it's way back in the production line and received a 3rd set of serial numbers printed over the Inspectors "BLUE" rejection marker and, was released into circulation in late Feb. 2006 via a ATM machine. ATM Location is recorded on photo I have spent over 2 years trying to locate another example from this sheet, all to no avail... This is a true ***ONE ~ OF ~ A ~ KIND*** Museum Quality error note that can only increase in value as the years go by... All eMails sent to the Royal Bank of England have gone UNANSWERED Another Gem-66 Certified 3rd Print on Reverse Error Note This is a raw Error Note that I would grade Very Fine Beautiful Gem 67 Certified Web Note - (I have found CGA notes to be equal to PMG in grading, the only difference is that PMG has a much better holder) 1st Print (reverse side) misaligned Printed Fold Error Gem CU (raw) 2006 Pakistan One Thousand Rupees Error Note Very Rare to find two different prefix letters overprinted on the same note, had NGC not pissed me off with their body-bagin B/S, I would have kept my membership and sent this note to PMG (PCGS does not grade World Notes, other than Canada) Another Double Printed Serial Number Error, this one has a number "63" in ink on the left side ONE-OF-A-KIND double strike, struck on a Type 2 "PROOF" Reverse Die variety Cent. Since this is a Die Strike Double Strike (no second coin involved), it may very well be the only double struck cent from the type 2 reverse die... Stanton (Co-Author of the Cherrypickers Guide to Rare Die Varieties), who agreed to inspect the now holdered NGC 1943 Quarter, and place it in the "Signature Series Holder" if it was the Variety listed in the Cherrypickers Guide. Nice Byzantine Era Double Strike - Date & Denom. unknown to me! 1795 Azores 20 Reis OVERSTRUCK on 1791 Portuguese 10 reis. Ancient Flipover Double Struck "Claudis II Antoninianus" as you can see, NGC had bodybagged this piece as "INELIGIBLE TYPE" and POCKETED the Certification Fees, I guess they were to lazy to take the time and research and holder the coin... I find NGC to be TOP RATED when it comes to body baggin GENUINE Coins, YET, They Grade and Slab Waffled Coins (Mint Scrap) that was NEVER MONITIZED!!! Maybe someone can explain this to me... PERSONAL NOTE: I only joined NGC so I could submit the 2 RARE CURRENCY ERRORS (listed on the top of this listing) to PMG, who, by-the-way, was a pleasure to deal with... It just sucks when you have to join NGC in order to submit to PMG. China "Crown Sized" Double Struck Coin, struck with 2 different sets of coin dies, plus a China "TEST" Bar with the Mints Counterstamp. NOTE: I purchased this, and the next few related items from a Oriental Woman who claimed that she had inherited these pieces from her Uncle, who had been employed at the Mint. I do not know if her story is true, or just B/S... If the Double Struck Coins are Genuine, then they are "assisted errors". Another "Crown Sized" China Double Struck Coin, struck from 2 different dies, plus the "TEST" Bar with Counterstamp. Philippines 1963 Double Struck Centavo, the 2nd Strike was struck with a Different Set of Dies.
